Now we all know that both teams are benefitting in a major way. Denver received a commanding floor general in Chauncy Billups. The former piston can shoot, penetrate, pass, run the floor extremely well and is one of the most clutch players in the NBA right now. Denver needs a point guard of this magnitude and with this level of experience. Now im not sayin a championship is guarunteed with the edition of Billups, but with him, Carmelo, and the rest of the supporting cast, they are sure to have a higher number in the "Wins" column then last year.
On the flip-side of the deal, the pistons receive the human scoring machine Allen Iverson. Even at his days at Georgetown he just always had a knack for finding ways to put the ball in the basket. With Iverson added to the roster, not only will it mean more points per game for the pistons (and probably more wins this season as well) but it will also mean more opportunites for others to contribute to Detroit's success. Because of the high level of respect that Iverson commands because of his scoring ability, he'll get double-teamed, maybe even triple-teamed which will open up numerous possibilities for others to score. The scoring threat for the pistons has doubled with the iverson acqusition for that organization, it just might mean championship contention
